A few weeks ago, as I prepared to go to work. I decided I want to make something 'now for now' to wear. So I got my fabric from my fabric stash and after 10 minutes I had a new top to wear to work.
This started Magnola #DIY #Batwing Top.
I will teach you how to make your own (DIY) Batwing Top with your own measurements.

I'm conducting a survey to find out what are your desires and fears in learning to sew for yourself or family etc
This quotation ideally, summarizes the drive behind Magnola Designs.
On inquiring from experienced persons in the dressmaking industry if they gave lessons, all of the responses were no.
Eventually, with just the drive to sew without much knowledge, I bought my sewing machines (a serger [first] and then a basic sewing machine).

I have been absent from blogging but I hope to step up in the coming days...once I can.
Last summer (2014) has been a different kind of summer break for me. I did not sew.
I guess that's where the saying comes in "To everything there's a time"
In July, one of my great-aunts died & in August one of my aunts died. These were two beloved individuals who I've know all my life & loved dearly.
However, the Lord continues to add to our family.
We are extremely grateful for His continuous blessings & mercies in our lives.
In concluding this post, I want to share with you a conversation I had with my late aunt. CLick this link:http://www.chronicles101.info/home/chronicles101-6-miscarriages-2-children I hope that it blesses you.

Magnola Designs: Unique Creativity , Limited Edition
Here are a few points why I think everyone should learn to sew whether by hand or using a sewing machine.
I found this video and thought I'd share it. Dream - Motivational Video
Here are some pictures when the fabric was being cut out from the paper pattern.
After drafting and cutting out the paper pattern, this pattern is placed on the folded fabric. The paper is pinned to the fabric & then cut out.
Welcome to Magnola's space.
A display of creativity.
I love fashion.
Creating and making new items from cloth.
I love Jesus and I seek to be modest in my fashion design/creations so that you can see Jesus through my creations & you will want to live for Jesus too.
Hope that you will enjoy my blogs.
